Its processor can handle media streaming @ 4k. You can use which ever brand of SSDs and HDDs you want (I did not choose Synology due to this). I imported mine from the UK version of the Amazon store. Though I did not think about that it\u0026rsquo;s power cable would be for the UK wall sockets\u0026hellip; If for some reason this happens to you too; the power connector used on this NAS is a \u0026ldquo;Mickey Mouse\u0026rdquo; or C5 connector/plug. I got this one from Power.no. Any power cable that uses that connector and is rated to be used for laptop power blocks should work!\nImages # This seems to really be the only real option for image self-hosting. Though luckily its really good.\nExplain:\nMigrate from google photos (immich-go and its edge cases) Actually useful local AI search Might add more here later\u0026hellip;\nMedia Streaming # From what I can see, there are two main options \u0026ndash; Plex and Jellyfin. Plex wants a monthly fee or pay a hefty price for a lifetime licence to enable it. I have nothing against paying for a service. But I really prefer a one-time purchase that is not ludicrous. Currently its 250 USD, which I think is fair. But it will be raised to 750 USD 1st July 2026. I think that trend is not a good one. Therefore I\u0026rsquo;ll use Jellyfin. Which is great!\nMedia Ripping # I use MakeMKV as the software and a Verbatim 43888 as the optical drive to rip blurays. Note that to get the Verbatim 43888 to work. You need to flash it to firmware version 1.03. More on this later\nRemote access # Might add more here later\u0026hellip;\nGeneral cloud stuff # Explain how:\nCalandar Office Suite Nextcloud AIO setup Might add more here later\u0026hellip;\nNotes # Explain how to sync to phone.\nWhy not Obsidian.
